Equipment

  • 1 Bread Machine (I used the Cuisinart Compact Bread Machine)

Ingredients

Sweet Dough

  • 1 cup non-dairy milk room temperature
  • 3 tbsp non-dairy butter just melted but not hot
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups bread flour all-purpose will also work
  • 2 ¼ tsp yeast dry active or instant

Filling

  • 3 tbsp non-dairy butter softened
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Icing

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup non-dairy butter softened

Instructions

Sweet Dough

  • Add the ingredients to the bread pan in the order listed. Gently spoon in the flour and place the yeast on top.
  • Run the Dough program.
  • Pour the dough onto a lightly floured surface.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle that is about ¼ inch thick.

Filling

  • Mix the powdered sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
  • Spread evenly onto the rolled out dough.
  • Starting from the long end, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  • Cut the log into 1.5 inch sections.

Baking

  • Place the roll sections into a 9" x 13" baking pan.
  • Cover with plastic film or a clean towel and let rise for 30 minutes. They will look noticeably fatter.
  • Bake at 375 F for 12 to 15 minutes.

Icing

  • Mix the powdered sugar and butter.
  • Spread the icing onto the warm rolls so it melts a bit and gets its ooey-gooey-ness into all the nooks and crannies.
